The association

dist[ex] - Development of a Network for Disengagement and Exit Work is a cooperation network founded in 2025 as part of the federal programme ‘Demokratie leben!’ (Live Democracy!) in the programme area ‘Development of a federal infrastructure’ that promotes the nationwide networking and strengthening of distancing and exit work in the context of tertiary prevention.

The aim is to establish a civil society network to promote exchange, cooperation and professional development in the field of work.

dist[ex] is a nationwide infrastructure currently under development to support professionals and organisations active in disengagement and exit work. The offer is aimed at counselling centres, civil society initiatives, public authorities and other stakeholders who support individuals in the process of disengagement or who engage in prevention efforts.

dist[ex] offers a range of materials and specialist information. In addition, we provide events, training opportunities and digital resources to support professionals in their work and to foster exchange among stakeholders.

The use of dist[ex] services is generally free of charge. Digital resources such as specialist publications, materials and podcasts are available without any fees. Participation in events, training courses and networking formats is usually also free of charge.
