We monitor channels run by extremist actors on the platforms TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Telegram. We collect metadata such as views, likes and comments and manually evaluate particularly striking posts. Based on this, we provide an overview of current trends and identify key topics and narratives, which we then analyse. The focus is on the phenomena of right-wing extremism, Islamism and conspiracy ideologies. The quarterly reports summarise the most relevant findings and back them up with current social media data.

In the first quarter of 2026, the monitoring focused in particular on the following topics:

1. Current developments in the field of nihilistic violent extremism (NVE)
2. Abdelhamid’s rise to prominence and his role following the fundraising scandal
3. Hanna Hansen’s distinctive role as a female Islamist influencer
4. The use of podcast formats by extremist actors
