dist[ex] monitor - Report for the fourth quarter 2025
22.12.2025

We monitor channels run by extremist actors on the platforms TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Telegram. We collect metadata such as views, likes and comments and manually evaluate particularly striking posts. Based on this, we provide an overview of current trends and identify key topics and narratives, which we then analyse. The focus is on the phenomena of right-wing extremism, Islamism and conspiracy ideologies. The quarterly reports summarise the most relevant findings and back them up with current social media data.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, monitoring focused in particular on the following topics:
- Remigration and the portrayal of a homogeneous white Germany in posts by extreme right-wing actors
- Current developments surrounding Erik Ahrens and his affiliation with the extreme right-wing scene
- Rebranding of channels affiliated with Hizb ut Tahrir, ban on Muslim Interaktiv and signature campaign by Suhaib R. Hoffmann (formerly: Realität Islam)
- Conspiracy myths and entertainment through the wide-reaching ‘Rohgang’
